October 2022 Update

I Can’t Believe I am Saying This… but in an undisclosed location in Beaver Valley today, the first Georgetown customer got lit up - received service that is. We don’t know what they did first with all their new bandwidth but it probably involved uploading a video file in less than an hour. July 2022 Update

Summer Progress If your on the island you have most likely encountered a truck or two hanging fiber as we progress with installing the system. If you are very lucky, perhaps a Hawkeye truck has visited your house and brought the fabled fiber strand directly to your house!!! Spring 2022 Update

Spring Update If you are on the island, by now you have most likely encountered a truck or two hanging fiber as we progress with installing the system. Please be patient with the crews through the Spring and Summer since large trucks on our narrow roads make life difficult for all involved. If you have any issues, please contact Terry@tdtsit.com. June 10, 2021 – News Release: ConnectMaine Grant

June 10, 2021 Georgetown Broadband is pleased to announce that ConnectMaine, the state’s team promoting broadband access across the state, recently granted $858,365 in funding to support our project. This grant was one of the first awarded from the $15 million bond issue approved last year by Maine voters, and was the second largest grant awarded in this round.
