Spring UpdateIf you are on the island, by now you have most likely encountered a truck or two hanging fiber as we progress with installing the system. Please be patient with the crews through the Spring and Summer since large trucks on our narrow roads make life difficult for all involved. If you have any issues, please contact Terry@tdtsit.com. Installation ConcernsWe have received half of our licenses, but unfortunately are facing hurdles with the remaining pole licenses. Work hanging cables is being done in many areas of the island, but it is scattered throughout the island due to the manner in which our applications were accepted. To be clear, which poles were licensed first was not a strategic decision, but a result of the vagaries of the pole process. While very challenging, we are making steady progress, although not as fast as any of us would desire. We cannot be certain of completion dates until the final license is acquired, but we are still planning on a full completion in 2022. For those customers that have signed up, installation will occur in four phases for each of our service areas:

Service Terms and Pricing To be clear, new service may be deferred up to 12 months after service is installed. In other words, customers can sign up for the $99 install offer, then defer the start of service for up to 12 months. We understand that many have continuing commitments to Consolidated Communications, and we felt offering this option may help to mitigate this conflict. Mention that you want service deferred when you sign up with Axiom. Seasonal rates are from May 1st to October 31st. These dates are fixed and cannot be changed. Fees for the season are due prior to May 1st before the start of the service. For those needing assistance with monthly broadband costs, Axiom has been qualified to administer the federal American Connectivity Program, which provides for a $30 a month subsidy to those whose family income is 200% of the Federal Poverty Guidelines or less. Other qualifying criteria and more information can be found at www.fcc.gov/acp. Contact Axiom for further assistance for signing up with this assistance. Assigning a RepresentativeFor seasonal residents, the home part of the install may be difficult to arrange. We are now allowing another entity to be the homeowner’s Authorized Representative. Simply email Terry and we will forward a form to be completed. It is our desire to make these efforts as efficient and painless as possible. |
